Children’s Tree Planting
1.Experience
Children are given experiences of meaningful connection to nature through Forest School.
2. Imagine
Children are supported to engage their imagination and creativity as they envision a positive future through art, story, song and crafts.
3.Plant
As they plant the trees to create their Children’s Forest, the children plant their wishes for a bright future for all life.
4.Tend
These trees and the biodiversity they support are tended and care-taken by the children over the years to come, supported by their families and communities.
Land
We envision Childrens’ Forests growing throughout the UK and inspiring others throughout the world. Each forest will be mapped on our website so that children can see and be inspired by the growing impact of their planting.
Children’s Forest does not own or seek to own land. Instead we want to encourage land owners, schools, councils and anyone with access to available land to host a Children’s Forest, thereby becoming guardians of these forest sanctuaries for the future.

We will do our best to provide you with the information need; from tree and planting requirements to logistical considerations of hosting children’s groups on the land.
Children
Children are at the heart of this project.
If you are a parent and would like your children to be involved, please share the Children’s Forest vision with your child’s school and /or groups they belong to.
This project is also for schools, Forest School groups and independent educational groups who would like to create a Children’s Forest on their grounds, or to be helped with finding accessible land, trained facilitators and healthy native saplings.
Our UK partners, Forest School Association. provides a nationwide network of trained facilitators who can help to initiate and develop Children’s Forest projects.

Facilitators
Forest School facilitators are trained to work with children in practical, connective ways to develop and foster love for nature and care for self, others and the environment.
